Sean Taylor Shot

Taylor was a special football player. I guess the one play that stands out for me wasn't a big hit that he layed on someone (although there were plenty). It was at the end of the Dallas game last year when he picked up the blocked field goal and made a play out of it to put us in position to win the football game.

It sounds like, at least according to what I've read, that ST the man had grown up some. A couple years ago, this wouldn't have shocked me that much but I guess, I felt like he was past that stage, past that time frame in his life. Obviously someone didn't want to let him out of that life or felt he was owed something.

The company you keep can define you.

The problem is sometimes people grow up and try to move on, distance themselves from their past, but the past doesn't always want to be distanced.

Hopefully people understand what I'm saying.

Its terribly sad, and I hate it as a Redskins fan. ST had, at least to me, matured on the field, which I am lead to believe means he probably had matured off the field as well.

I do hope that they find whomever was involved in this and that they suffer.

the reason he died from a shot in the leg is because it damaged an artery and caused a lot of blood loss....

Seriously, he was a great player, went to Gulliver prep, and his dad was a chief of police. He was always known as "the wildest Miami Hurricane of them all". Chris Samuels had said that he had grown up alot since the previous incident involving guns. One of my favorite memories of him isnt actually in the games but during the spring game one year. He was covering Kellen and they just beat the crap out of each other the whole game. He was a great competitor and surely didnt want to be outdone by Junior. He and Devin are clearly the two greatest athletes to ever come from the U. Their genetic makeup is unparallel to probably anyone thats ever lived. He was no Ed Reed, but he was a great great player.

I feel like I've been hit in the gut. It pisses me off that ESPN will shove continuous 24/7 coverage on Bonds and A-Rod,but aren't covering this terrible tragedy. R.I.P. ST. It was a joy watching you play as a Cane as well as a Skin.

rip 21.. u are one of the greatest canes ever........ i was shocked when i heard the news.... i was about to turn 2 a skin fan .. i mean taylor, moss, portis, mcintosh...

It sucks that Sean was killed at only 24 years of age in his own home .. and it sucks even more that football is just about the only thing people mention when speaking of this incident.

Let us not forget that he was also a father and a very young man who lost his life far too soon. The fact that the intruder cut the phone lines so that nothing could be done afterwards just makes it all that much more sickening.

A very sad day indeed.
